Abstract

A recent study conducted at Universitas Sulawesi Barat explored the perceptions of university lecturers regarding the use of e-learning for teaching English literacy skills, specifically reading and writing. The study found that while there were initial challenges during the transition to online learning, lecturers recognized benefits such as flexibility, efficient material sharing, and enabling remote assignments. However, connectivity issues, difficulties monitoring student progress, and the need for robust technological skills were identified as significant challenges. The study concludes that e-learning has the potential to enhance English literacy education, but infrastructural and pedagogical barriers need to be addressed. [Extracted from the article]
