Abstract

A recent study conducted by Fudan University in China explored the relationship between anxiety, depression symptoms, and academic burnout among Chinese students. The study involved 2,070 students in grades 4-8 from primary and middle schools in Shanghai. The results showed that anxiety and depression symptoms were positively correlated with academic burnout. Additionally, the study found that resilience and self-efficacy partially mediated the associations between anxiety and depression symptoms and academic burnout. Overall, the study highlights the importance of addressing mental health issues and promoting resilience and self-efficacy among students to prevent academic burnout. [Extracted from the article]
