Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Wollongong in Australia has explored the solvatomorphic structures of the anti-inflammatory drug diclofenac and the dense hydrogen bond donor propane-1,3-diaminium. The study found that each structure contains a formula unit of diclofenac and propane-1,3-diaminium, with various solvents of crystallization. The researchers used a range of techniques to characterize the compounds and discovered that the propane-1,3-diaminium molecules play a key role in the organization of the structures. This research expands crystal engineering strategies for active pharmaceutical ingredients. [Extracted from the article]
