Abstract

The article offers information on the U.S. Army's Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) System. Topics include the origins of the IFPC program, the development of IFPC Increment 2, and other IFPC variants. The IFPC system is designed to protect high-value military sites against cruise missiles, unmanned aerial systems, and rocket, artillery, and mortar attacks. The program began in 2004 and has evolved, including the selection of Israel's Iron Dome as an interim solution.
