Abstract
- The article discusses the use of the cold snare technique with clipping as a promising alternative treatment for duodenal angioectasia, a condition characterized by abnormal blood vessels in the mucosal and submucosal layers of the duodenum. The traditional treatment, argon plasma coagulation, carries risks such as pneumoperitoneum and perforation, making the need for safer options crucial. The article presents a case study of a 77-year-old woman with obscure gastrointestinal bleeding, where the cold snare technique effectively controlled bleeding and facilitated lesion removal without complications. The authors emphasize the importance of considering anatomical features in devising treatment strategies and commend the authors of the original article for contributing to the knowledge in this area.
