Abstract

Brazilian utility Copel and Petrobras have completed the sale of their ownership stakes in the Araucária gas-fired power plant in Brazil. The sale was approved by regulatory authority Cade and the plant was sold to Âmbar Energia, an oil and gas company. The sale price was R$395 million ($80 million), with Copel's stake accounting for R$321 million. Âmbar Energia, a subsidiary of J&F Investimentos, operates gas-fired power plants, gas pipelines, and power lines in Brazil.
