Abstract

The article discusses changes to the format and playing rules of the British Championships and the International Series in lawn bowls. The author expresses their opinion that the format of the International Series has been improved after last year's unsuccessful attempt. The new format includes three five-bowler teams playing together as one team, with reduced ends and specific rules similar to the World Outdoor Championships and Commonwealth Games. The author believes that these changes will make the event more attractive and enjoyable for both players and spectators. They also suggest combining the scores of men and women to determine an overall score for each country. The author hopes that these changes will help revive the event and attract larger crowds.
