Abstract

The article discusses the application of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) in evaluating proper ventilator settings and classifying lung morphofunction. It highlights the study by Iwata et al. on categorizing EIT ventilation patterns based on the dorsal fraction of ventilation and its association with postoperative complications. It highlights the potential of EIT as a tool for understanding lung pathophysiology.
