Abstract

A recent study conducted in Shanghai, China compared the effectiveness of a two-dose varicella vaccine regimen to a one-dose regimen in preventing varicella infection in children. The study included 3,838 children and found that the two-dose regimen had a higher effectiveness of 81.7% compared to 60.3% for the one-dose regimen. The researchers concluded that the two-dose regimen was more effective in preventing varicella infection. This study provides evidence supporting the use of a two-dose varicella vaccine regimen in children. [Extracted from the article]
