Abstract
- A new study on liver failure has been reported by the Department of Anesthesiology. The study focuses on acute iron poisoning, which is rare in adults and can lead to multi-organ toxicity, acute liver failure, and cardiovascular collapse. The amount of iron ingested and the promptness of treatment are crucial factors in determining the clinical outcome. In this case report, a severe case of acute iron poisoning resulted in fulminant liver failure, which was successfully managed with a liver transplantation.
