Abstract

A study conducted by the Inclusive Medical Science Research Institute in Osaka, Japan, aimed to investigate the relationship between posterior tibial artery blood flow velocity and plantar heel pain (PHP). The study found that the peak systolic velocity of the posterior tibial artery was significantly greater in patients with PHP compared to healthy participants without heel pain. The researchers concluded that measuring peak systolic velocity can help quantitatively evaluate patients with plantar heel pain. The study was registered as a clinical trial and provides valuable insights into the understanding of heel pain. [Extracted from the article]
