Abstract

A recent study conducted by investigators from the University of Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain, explores the effects of sustainable rice management on the behavior and bioefficacy of bispyribac-sodium (BPS). The research highlights the unsustainability of current practices used for rice crops, particularly in water-scarce regions like the Mediterranean. The study suggests that alternative management methods, such as the use of sprinklers in combination with compost from olive mill waste, can reduce water pollution and increase weed control efficiency in rice production. This research provides valuable insights for sustainable food and agriculture practices, particularly in the Mediterranean region. [Extracted from the article]
