The most prominent issue at the large conference (attended by more than 1,700) of the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) was regulation, specifically, the new guidelines from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on how opioid treatment programs must operate.
