Abstract
- This article discusses a research study conducted by the Faculty of Management on the strategies used by tourism entrepreneurs during large-scale emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The study involved qualitative research methods, including interviews and focus groups, with representatives from the tourism sector. The findings revealed that the pandemic presented opportunities for tourism businesses to make changes to their offerings, utilize digital competences, and develop relationships with stakeholders. The study also identified four timing strategies used by tourism entrepreneurs during crises. The research contributes to the understanding of chance management and timing strategies in the context of tourism enterprises' resilience. [Extracted from the article]
