Abstract

A new report from Harvard Medical School presents data on heart failure, specifically focusing on patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and worsening heart failure events (WHFE). The study collected data from two non-clinical trial cohorts, one from an integrated delivery network and the other from a nationwide physician panel. The findings showed that patients with WHFE had a greater risk of heart failure-related hospitalization and subsequent WHFE events compared to patients without WHFE. The study concludes that despite advancements in therapies, there is still a need to improve clinical outcomes for HFrEF patients with WHFE. [Extracted from the article]
