Abstract
- A recent study conducted in Seoul, South Korea has developed a deep learning model that can accurately differentiate between acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in peripheral blood cell images. The model was trained using 42,386 single-cell images from 282 patients and achieved high accuracy and precision in classifying the different cell types associated with leukemia. The researchers believe that this model could be beneficial in healthcare settings where rapid and accurate diagnosis of leukemia is challenging. The study was funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea. [Extracted from the article]
