Abstract
- The article explores the environmental consequences of climate change-induced wildfires in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) of unincorporated areas of California. It investigates how the overlap between unincorporated areas and the WUI creates gaps in law and regulation, affecting land use, lodging, and livelihoods. It examines existing legal frameworks and proposing solutions to address the challenges posed by limited regulation in the face of climate change.
