Abstract
- Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has revealed that K-Electric (KE) has overcharged the Sindh government by more than Rs20 billion for electricity supply over the past decade. An audit conducted this year found over Rs2 billion in overbilling, and reconciliation efforts have saved Rs2-3 billion over the past four to five years. Minister Shah accused KE of inflating the government's power bills by including line losses and emphasized the need for transparency in power supply and consumption data. The Sindh government and KE have formed a joint committee to address issues and ensure an uninterrupted power supply. [Extracted from the article]
