Abstract
- A recent study conducted by researchers from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada, explored the impact of both paternal and maternal depressive symptoms and sensitivity on the development of socioemotional problems in toddlers. The study involved 140 Canadian families and found that both parents' depressive symptoms and paternal sensitivity were significant predictors of child socioemotional problems. Additionally, the study highlighted the importance of considering both parents when examining risk and protective factors for young children's socioemotional well-being. This research provides valuable insights into the role of parental mental health and sensitivity in child development. [Extracted from the article]
