Abstract

A systematic review and meta-analysis is being conducted by researchers at Sichuan University to evaluate the association between hypertensive disorders during pregnancy and Bell's palsy. Bell's palsy is a peripheral nerve palsy that affects the facial nerve, and risk factors include pregnancy, diabetes mellitus, and hypertension. The review will analyze observational studies written in English that investigate the relationship between hypertensive disorders in late pregnancy and Bell's palsy during pregnancy or the puerperium.
