Abstract
- A report from Rajasthan Technical University in India introduces a new method for detecting food-borne pathogens in fresh produce using optical sensing and machine learning. The researchers developed a photonics-based sensor system that generates optical signals to detect the presence of pathogens, and machine learning algorithms process the sensor data to predict contamination probabilities in real time. The study found that the method achieved detection accuracies of up to 95%, surpassing traditional methods. The researchers believe that this approach has the potential to enhance food safety and public health. [Extracted from the article]
