Abstract

A research study conducted at Nantong University in China has developed a new type of smart textile that addresses the challenges faced by current wearable sensing materials. The textile, called a triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG), has a triple bio-protection function, including a passive physical barrier effect, nano-silver active disinfection, and active Joule-heat disinfection. The TENG also has the ability to wirelessly sense fine biomotion and recognize hand gestures. This research has potential applications in the medical field. [Extracted from the article]
