Abstract

A study conducted by the University of Tabriz in Iran investigated the effects of feeding pomegranate pulp to Ghezel lambs. The researchers found that supplementing the lambs' diets with pomegranate pulp resulted in increased liveweight and average daily gains, as well as improved meat quality. The meat from lambs fed the supplemented diet had higher concentrations of beneficial fatty acids and phenolic compounds. These findings suggest that using pomegranate pulp as a feed for Ghezel lambs can enhance animal performance and meat quality, providing value to an otherwise waste product.
