Abstract
- A patent has been issued to 10X Genomics Inc. for methods of spatial analysis using RNA-templated ligation. The patent describes a method for determining the location and abundance of analytes in a biological sample by providing an array of capture probes, contacting the sample with specific probes, ligating the probes, and determining the sequence of the ligated product. This method allows for the sensitive measurement of specific genes of interest and can be used to capture a defined set of RNA molecules or the entire transcriptome. The patent provides a solution to the challenge of detecting analytes while also providing information about their spatial location. [Extracted from the article]
