Abstract
- A new report discusses research findings on managing antiretroviral therapy (ART) in the intensive care unit (ICU) for critically ill individuals with HIV/AIDS. The study highlights the challenges of selecting appropriate ART in the ICU due to drug interactions, absorption issues, and dosing adjustments. Continuation of ART in the ICU can be challenging, but with careful consideration, it is often feasible through dose adjustments or alternative administration methods. The review offers strategies for overcoming these challenges and optimizing ART in the ICU. [Extracted from the article]
