Happiness Index of Gay Men.

The Happiness Index refers to the overall measure of the gay men in the community in their life satisfaction and wellbeing. This study's primary purpose is to determine the happiness index of gays in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines. A quantitative research method was utilized using a standardized questionnaire. The standardized questionnaire was devised by Michael Argyle and Peter Hills at Oxford University (2002). Percentage, Weighted Mean, Spearman Rank Correlation, Chi-Square Test, and Kruskal-Wallis H Test were used to analyze the data collected. The gay respondents' overall happiness index yielded the interpretation as Rather Happy. Therefore, the majority of the gay respondents are happy with their current lives but not too happy. As a result of the survey's analysis, it was revealed that older gay respondents are happier than younger gay respondents. Further research is recommended to corroborate the findings of this study.
