Abstract
- This research paper explores the theories of Albert Ellis and Jeffrey Young in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a therapeutic approach aimed at modifying behavior and building resilience against psychological pressures and negative thoughts. The paper discusses the key principles and techniques used in CBT, including rational thinking, challenging irrational beliefs, and modifying maladaptive schemas. It also highlights the importance of the therapeutic relationship in both theories. While CBT has been effective in improving mental health, it has faced criticisms for its focus on cognitive aspects over emotional and affective aspects. Overall, CBT has proven to be effective in addressing psychological problems and improving well-being. [Extracted from the article]
