Abstract

This article presents a retrospective single-center cohort study on neonates with severe congenital heart disease (CHD) who received medical care at a perinatology unit outside a pediatric cardiology center. The study analyzed mortality, morbidity, and clinical parameters of 122 neonates from 2018 to 2022. The results showed that prenatal diagnosis by ultrasound was common, and there were nine diagnostic groups identified. The study concluded that it is safe to deliver and provide medical care to neonates with CHD in a perinatology unit with a cardiology focus, and rapid retransfer to the neonatology unit postoperatively is possible.
