Abstract
- This article, published in the journal Colorectal Disease, discusses laparoscopic low anterior resection as a surgical treatment for deeply infiltrating endometriosis. The authors explain that intestinal endometriosis is commonly found in the upper rectum and lower sigmoid colon, and that the rectovaginal septum is often affected. They describe the preparation for surgery, the critical steps involved in the procedure, and the testing of the anastomosis. The authors also state that they have no conflicts of interest and that the data supporting their findings are available in the supplementary material of the article. [Extracted from the article]
