Abstract
- This article discusses a case of delayed-type hypersensitivity reaction to a jellyfish. The patient, a 44-year-old man, developed itchy skin lesions on his forearm and other areas of his body after being stung by a jellyfish while swimming in the Mediterranean Sea. Despite taking antihistamines and applying steroids, the symptoms did not improve. A histologic examination revealed characteristic features of a hypersensitivity reaction. The patient was treated with topical therapy and showed rapid improvement. The article emphasizes the importance of considering travel history and potential triggers when diagnosing unusual skin findings. [Extracted from the article]
