Abstract
- A new report from Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow, Poland explores the connection between mast cell degranulation and bradykinin-induced angioedema. The researchers discuss the role of mast cells in activating the kallikrein-kinin system cascade, leading to the formation of bradykinin and the occurrence of angioedema. They also examine the potential involvement of the mast cell-related G protein-coupled receptor-X2 (MRGPRX2) in MC activation. The study raises questions about the relationship between mast cell degranulation and bradykinin production, as well as the influence of mast cell reactivity on the occurrence of angioedema attacks. Further research is needed to explore these connections. [Extracted from the article]
