Abstract
- A parent wished to get a medical recommendation to exempt her 13-year old daughter from the hepatitis B immunization in the Hungarian age related school program. He considers this prevention unnecesary and harmful, because they are a decent family free from promiscuity. Learing from the internet he found out, that this vaccine may cause hepatitis B, contains genetically modified substances and other toxic particules, like alum and Saccharomyces cervisiae, the latter even potentially causing Chron disease. Despite being given all correct information for each of his statements he is still convinced of his misbelieves and tries to get an exemption by turning to the court of law. Our lesson from this case is, that a lot more effort should be done to convince lay people, parents and adolescents about the real values and benefits of immunization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
