Abstract
- Australian Retirement Trust, the country's second-largest pension fund with A$260 billion ($174 billion) in assets, plans to increase its allocation to private credit in Europe and North America. The fund aims to raise its position to 2.5% in the next six-to-12 months, up from its current level of just below 1.5%. The fund is focusing on the lower risk, unlisted part of the credit market and will use a combination of external managers and its internal team to build its exposure. Other top pension funds in Australia are also showing a growing interest in private credit. [Extracted from the article]
