Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Kunming Medical University in China focused on extramammary Paget's disease, a rare malignant tumor that affects the scrotum and penis. The study aimed to better understand the pathogenesis, clinical characteristics, and treatment options for this disease. The researchers presented a case of a 74-year-old male patient with symptoms of erythema and pruritus in the perineum. The patient underwent surgical intervention, including wide local excision of the lesion and skin flap transplantation for wound repair. The study concluded that skin flap transplantation is the preferred method for repairing large-scale wounds after surgery. [Extracted from the article]
