Abstract
- Microsporidia of the Glugea sp. were looked at under a light microscope in the Wavy-Lined Grouper (Epinephelus undulosus). The present study aimed to isolate and identify the microsporidian from fish. In the present study, fish gut samples of Wavy-Lined Grouper (Epinephelus undulosus) were collected from the Parangipettai landing centre and the parasite was located in the fish's internal organs. Spherical blackish xenomas ranged from different pyloric caeca and intestine sizes, such as 1.22 mm, 1.43 mm, 0.95 mm, 1.03 mm, and 1.28 mm to 1.41 mm. The largest xenoma ranged in size from 2.10 mm to 0.39 mm in diameter, surrounded by a layer of connective tissue. The observed and mm characteristics of the parasite align with those of the other Glugea sp. Based on these traits, it seemed likely that the microsporidian that infected Epinephelus Undulosus in this study was Glugea sp. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
