DNA methylation in pituitary adenomas: scoping review protocol.

This article discusses a scoping review protocol on DNA methylation in pituitary adenomas. The objective of the study is to map the current knowledge on DNA methylation in pituitary adenomas and its translation into a clinical setting. Pituitary tumorigenesis is currently being investigated, and researchers are exploring epigenomic analysis to determine if DNA methylation and histone modification can be used as markers for tumorigenesis. The study will include primary studies on pituitary adenomas analyzed by DNA methylation, and relevant papers will be identified through bibliographic databases.
