Abstract
- A recent report from the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) highlights the patient acceptability of telehealth medication abortion care in the United States. The study found that most patients trusted the provider, felt telehealth was the right decision, felt cared for, and were very satisfied with the service. Privacy, timeliness, and the ability to stay at home were cited as benefits, while initial uncertainty about the legitimacy of the service was the most commonly reported drawback. The research concludes that telehealth abortion care can expand access to abortion in a restricted landscape while maintaining patient-centered care. [Extracted from the article]
