Abstract

A recent study conducted by researchers at Chulalongkorn University examined the media discourse surrounding meat substitutes, specifically plant-based meat and cultured meat, in Chinese newspapers and online user comments. The study found that while newspapers reported positively on meat substitutes, user comments showed a negative public perception. Chinese people held positive attitudes toward plant-based meat and negative attitudes toward cultured meat. The researchers suggest that these insights can be used to develop sustainable food education and consumption strategies. [Extracted from the article]
