Abstract

A study conducted by researchers at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran compared the effectiveness of two sedative drugs, clemastine and midazolam, during colonoscopy procedures. The study found that clemastine was associated with lower pain levels after the procedure compared to midazolam. There were no significant differences in blood pressure or pulse rate between the two groups. Based on these results, the researchers concluded that clemastine can be used as a main sedative drug during colonoscopy. [Extracted from the article]
