Abstract

A study conducted by Gachon University in South Korea examined the relationship between blood pressure and physical fitness in individuals with intellectual disabilities. The study found that people with intellectual disabilities have a higher prevalence of conditions such as hypertension and cardiovascular diseases compared to healthy individuals. The research also revealed that lower physical fitness levels and higher blood pressure were associated with higher levels of disability. These findings suggest that low fitness levels and hypertension risk are important health indicators for people with intellectual disabilities. [Extracted from the article]
