Abstract

The article discusses the HydraBed, a balebed invention that revolutionized the feeding of round hay bales forty years ago. The HydraBed, manufactured in Sabetha, Kansas, was the first fully integrated balebed with flush mount arms. It has since become a staple on farming and ranching operations across North America due to its ruggedness, dependability, and ease of operation. In late 2020, HydraBed introduced the HydraSTX control system, which is the only proportional electric control system in the balebed industry. This system allows for effortless loading, transporting, and unrolling of round bales, and includes a rechargeable wireless remote for added convenience and safety. The HydraSTX control system offers more finesse and control over the hydraulic valve, and its thumb-controlled joystick allows for seamless and intuitive operation.
