Abstract
- The article discusses the intersection of homelessness and criminalization, exploring the systemic failures perpetuated by carceral systems rooted in colonialism, capitalism, and white supremacy. Topics discussed include the disproportionate punishment and surveillance experienced by marginalized individuals, the inadequacy of existing social services, and the importance of community support in dismantling oppressive systems and envisioning more just futures.
