Per una storia e una grammatica dell’aprosdoketon.

The aim of the first part of this paper is to track down, whenever possible, the evidence of aprosdoketa in texts earlier than the ancient Greek comedies. The following part surveys a proper choice of examples to set out some more categories which can be added to the current classifications of aprosdoketa: namely, the significance of an aprosdoketon depending on its position whether in the final or middle section of a sentence, and the actual relevance of an assonance between the distorted term and the expected one, provided that a known hypotext exists.
