Abstract
- Sunfire is conducting a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study for a 500MW green hydrogen project in Germany, with completion expected in 2028. The study will inform a financial investment decision and will examine operational parameters, site requirements, and execution guidelines. The project will produce hydrogen from various sources, including refinery operations and ammonia production. In addition to hydrogen development, solar and wind infrastructure will be constructed to support the pressurized alkaline electrolyser. Sunfire has recently secured significant funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, the German deferral states of Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia, and the European Investment Bank. The company aims to provide reliable industrial electrolyser technology for large-scale transformative projects. [Extracted from the article]
