Abstract
- Researchers from Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China have conducted a study on mental health and well-being (MHW) in tourism. The study aims to explore how tourism can contribute to Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 (SDG 3) set by the United Nations. The researchers reviewed existing literature on MHW in tourism, focusing on the perspectives of tourists, residents, and tourism workers. They found that there is a need for interdisciplinary approaches to understand how tourism can promote mental health for various stakeholders. The study suggests incorporating tourism products and services into mental health care and designing tourism experiences based on positive psychology principles. [Extracted from the article]
