Abstract

A recent study conducted at Tribhuvan University Institute of Medicine in Nepal focused on the rare occurrence of intramedullary nondysraphic spinal lipomas. These lipomas, which are tumors in the spinal cord, are extremely uncommon. The study found that patients with these lipomas typically experience sensory symptoms followed by motor deterioration. Surgery is the primary treatment for this condition. The research emphasizes the importance of accurately locating the tumor and choosing appropriate resection methods due to the delicate nature of the surrounding neurological structures.
