Abstract
- A recent study conducted at Majmaah University in Saudi Arabia aimed to assess the knowledge and awareness of dental students, interns, and practitioners in detecting oral premalignant lesions. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted, and the results showed that while participants had a strong understanding of certain risk factors for oral malignancy, there was uncertainty regarding specific oral-related factors. The study also found that fibroma and squamous cell carcinoma were easily detected, while lichen planus was the most challenging to diagnose among oral lesions. The findings suggest that knowledge and awareness of detecting oral premalignant lesions vary based on malignancy factors and participants' academic level. [Extracted from the article]
