Abstract
- This article examines the issue of limited access to psychedelic therapies in the United States. It discusses how the high cost of these treatments creates inequality, as wealthy individuals can afford them while lower- and middle-income Americans cannot. The psychedelics industry is also driven by profit, leaving marginalized communities without access to these therapies. The author shares their personal experience and explores potential solutions, such as FDA approval, insurance coverage, and decriminalization. However, the article cautions that these solutions may create new inequalities and highlights the importance of making these therapies accessible to those who could benefit from them.
