Some remarks on expansive mappings in metric spaces.

The aim of this paper is to generalize the results on expansive mappings of Yesilkaya and Aydin from Fixed Point Results of Expansive Mappings in Metric Spaces [see Yesilkaya, S. S.; Aydin, C. Fixed Point Results of Expansive Mappings in Metric Spaces. Mathematics 8 (2020), 1800]. In the present paper we show that the conditions imposed on the function 9 can be relaxed. Thus, we present more general fixed point results for q-expansive mappings in metric spaces and prove some fixed point theorems for this class of mappings, via a different approach.
