Abstract

The development of screen printing production, especially in packaging, is increasing. This forces screen printing entrepreneurs to think about how to improve the quality of screen printing results and increase screen printing productivity. The purpose of this study is to modify the glass screen printing machine from manual to semi-automatic. The machine is useful for speeding up and facilitating the screen printing production process. The process for manufacturing a semi-automatic glass screen printing machine is starting from the redesign of the frame, simulation of the movement mechanism, the machining process and welding. Other components in the semi-automatic glass screen printing machine are the frame, screen line shaft, molding seat, molding shaft, shaft rail, screen connector, screen clamp, rackel seat, rackel shaft, bracket and flank motion. From this research, a glass screen printing machine has been produced using pedal and switch options to active the electric motor. The mechanism of the machine moves the screen and molding capable of producing screen printing. Production results can be displayed on digital counting. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
